Anti-Bullying/Friendship Week

Respect

Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated at Oaklands Primary Academy. The safety, welfare and well-being of all pupils and staff is a key priority. It is our duty, as a whole school community, to take measures to prevent and tackle any bullying or discrimination. We actively promote values of respect and equality, and work to ensure that difference and diversity is celebrated across our academy. We have an annual Internet Safety week, where much of the focus is upon online relationships and we also have an annual Friendship Week, which coincides with the national Anti-bullying week.

We look after one another at Oaklands and a team of dedicated Pupil Advocates support their peers on the playground, making sure that everybody has a smile on their face. Their motto is: If you don’t have a smile, you can have one of mine.

We RESPECT everyone at Oaklands and we believe that together we are stronger.

  • Let’s celebrate friendship by spreading love and care.
  • Let's build tolerance, togetherness, and care for our peers.
  • Let's show we care by including everyone.
  • Let’s celebrate our ability to accept everyone and be the best we can be.
  • Let's be kind...always.
