What is an E-safety Committee?
- We have an active e-safety committee in our school.
- The committee meet on a regular basis to discuss E-safety matters, work through our priorities for the coming year and also review e-safeguarding issues, including pupil online safety behaviours.

E-Safety is an Accredited Area of Excellent Practice by Challenge Partners - This is what they said about us:
E-Safety
- The school is the first fully accredited primary school in the Kent area following a rigorous assessment visit that scrutinized a range of evidence then awarded the 360 E-Safety Mark.
- This was in response to growing concerns about out-of-school issues brought to the school by parents.
- A committee with pupil representatives, a governor, parent and members of staff meet regularly to promote information and events about e-safety.
- Extensive documentation in terms of class projects, policies and acceptable use agreements are available as a resource.
- The impact of the well-balanced input has been to help children feel informed but not fearful about the risks in e-communication. Workshop events have been held for parents. Information and guidance is available on the school’s website.
- The lead practitioner is about to undertake training to be an accredited assessor for other schools. This will place her in an ideal and highly credible position to help and advise schools developing e-safety policy and practice.
