After School Clubs

CLUBS WILL RUN FROM TUESDAY 2ND MAY TO FRIDAY 7TH JULY 2017

EXCLUDING HALF TERM 29TH MAY TO 5TH JUNE 2017

Oaklands offer an extensive programme of clubs which the children thoroughly enjoy.

Places are allocated on a first come/paid-first basis.

Please be sure of the clubs you wish your child to join as refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances.

Please print and complete 1 form per child and enclose money due (cash or cheque, made payable to Oaklands Primary Academy) unless you pay on ParentPay, then just send in the form clearly marked payment via ParentPay to the office.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SCHOOL CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR MONEY LOST VIA BOOKBAGS

The information below is intended to give parents/carers an overview of our extra-curricular clubs on offer. Some clubs may be chargeable in order to make them sustainable and to cover our costs of staffing and equipment. These are non-profit making.

We will try not to cancel a club, if at all possible. However if there are staff absences we will inform you as quickly as possible. In poor weather, we will endeavour to provide an indoor alternative.

Please note finishing times of the clubs, as they vary and ensure that your child is collected on time.

For Safeguarding- Please contact the school if your child is unable to attend their club, even if they are in school on that day on 01959573963 or email clubs@oaklands.bromley.sch.uk .

Children who miss 2 or more sessions which are not due to illness or appointment, may lose their place to another child, should there be a waiting list.

 

The Application Process

Upon application, places are allocated on a first come-first basis, even if your child has attended in the previous term, with the exception of Choir, Dance Crew ‘Overload’, Boosters and Baga Gym.

When the paperwork and payment is received via the school, this is then put on ParentPay. We will endeavour to put this on ParentPay on a daily basis.

We will send you a text letting you know if your child has a place or not, please make sure your details are up to date.

For Musical Theatre, please pay the Instructor direct on the first day by cash or cheque, payable to Dance-Worx’s.

For Junior Gymnastics, please pay the instructor direct on the first day by cash or cheque, payable to Eloise Davis.

Please be aware parents who currently use ParentPay will have priority, this was explained in a letter given to all children dated 27th February 2017. As a reminder please see below:

Using ParentPay for chargeable CLUBS

When we allocate spaces for chargeable Clubs, we will be using the payment date & time on ParentPay as our 1st sorting mechanism.  Therefore if you would like your child’s application for a chargeable Club to be prioritised – USE PARENTPAY to pay for that Club (and still send in the completed application form).  Please note that the First Come First Served rules apply and payment does not guarantee a space, but you get prioritised first, ahead of payment by cash or cheque.
